Technical Support Specialist

Frontiers is an award-winning open science platform and leading open access scholarly publisher. We are one of the largest and most cited publishers globally.

As a Technical Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing 1st and 2nd level IT support to our team. This includes configuring new laptops and installing software, setting up office and conference equipment, and ensuring security updates are applied to all our systems.

You will also be responsible for managing IT asset inventory and desktop computing hardware lifecycle, granting access permissions to users, and participating in small IT projects.

We are looking for a highly motivated and driven individual with excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. You should have experience providing level 1 and 2 technical support and using IT support ticket management systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1st and 2nd level IT support
  • Configure new laptops and install software
  • Set up office and conference equipment
  • Ensure security updates are applied to all our systems
  • Manage IT asset inventory and desktop computing hardware lifecycle
  • Grant access permissions to users
  • Participate in small IT projects
