About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Software Support Specialist to join our Digital Media Technology group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting for our digital platform services and content.

Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Providing first-level support for tickets filed in Audible
  • Developing tools and applications to aid operations and maintenance
  • Working on maintenance of coding projects, primarily in Perl or shell scripts, web technologies, and Java-based projects
  • Reading and understanding complex application code and making code fixes to resolve support issues
  • Software deployment support in staging and production environments

As a Software Support Specialist, you will work closely with our Audible engineering team to hand off or take over active support issues and create a team-specific knowledge base and skill set.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • 2+ years of overall development/technical support experience
  • Proven track record in working on enterprise-level large-scale n-tier applications
  • Development experience in C/Java or open-source based technologies
