In our Diagnostic Grifols division, we are looking for a seasoned Mechanical or Systems Engineer with a strong background in hardware engineering. This role involves managing our collaborations with external partners in these fields. The ideal candidate will possess significant experience in hardware design, systems engineering, and leading intricate technical projects with external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to establish technical specifications for mechanical hardware and outline overall system processes and protocols.
- Assess and analyze technical proposals from external vendors, ensuring they meet project specifications, feasibility, and technical requirements.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, work breakdown structures, and schedules for technical deliverables in conjunction with external vendors on mechanical engineering designs and releases.
- Provide technical leadership and support to external partners throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify and resolve technical challenges that may arise during project execution, working closely with both internal and external teams to devise solutions and mitigate risks.
- Implement and uphold technical quality assurance standards for hardware and software development, conducting regular reviews to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between internal stakeholders and external partners, providing updates on technical progress and project risks.
Candidate Profile
To excel in this role, candidates should meet the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline; an advanced degree is preferred.
- Proven experience in leading mechanical design teams and managing external partnerships.
- Expertise in technical project management, particularly in mechanical and software development.
- Proficiency in English and Spanish.
- Strong technical knowledge in hardware design, systems engineering, and integration.
- Demonstrated ability to manage technical activities with external vendors and contractors.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- A track record of successfully managing complex technical projects, delivering results on time and within budget.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities effectively.
