At Diagnostic Grifols, we are in search of a Mechanical or Systems Engineer with a strong background in hardware engineering to manage our external collaborations in these areas. This position calls for an experienced professional capable of overseeing technical initiatives with external partners, ensuring that project goals, technical specifications, and quality standards are met. The ideal candidate will possess a robust foundation in hardware design, systems engineering, and experience in directing intricate technical projects alongside external collaborators.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to establish technical requirements for mechanical hardware and outline the overall system processes and protocols.
- Evaluate technical proposals from external vendors, ensuring their alignment with project needs, feasibility, and technical strategies.
- Analyze and assess technical submissions from external vendors, providing recommendations for vendor selection based on technical merit.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, work breakdown structures, and schedules for technical deliverables in conjunction with external vendors on mechanical engineering designs and releases.
- Offer technical leadership and support to external partners throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify and resolve technical challenges that may arise during project execution, collaborating with both internal and external teams to devise solutions and mitigate risks.
- Establish and uphold technical quality assurance standards for hardware and software development, conducting regular reviews to ensure compliance with specifications and quality benchmarks.
- Facilitate effective technical communication and collaboration between internal stakeholders and external partners, providing updates on technical progress, challenges, and risks to ensure transparency.
Who You Are
To excel in this role, you must meet the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline; an advanced degree is preferred.
- Proven experience in leading mechanical design teams in collaboration with internal and external partners.
- Expertise in technical project management, particularly in mechanical and software development.
- Fluency in English and Spanish.
- Strong technical proficiency in hardware design, systems engineering, and integration.
- Demonstrated experience in managing technical activities with external vendors and contractors.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage complex technical projects, consistently delivering results on time and within budget.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while effectively managing multiple priorities.
