Job Title: Head of Restaurants

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Restaurants to join our team at SLS Barcelona. As a key member of our pre-opening team, you will be responsible for directing the operations of all Food and Beverage outlets within the hotel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure high-quality service that meets guest needs promptly and courteously, maximizing satisfaction and encouraging return visits.
  • Regularly assess guest satisfaction levels and implement strategies to exceed expectations.
  • Define service standards and lead the team to consistently meet them.
  • Contribute to the hiring process, conduct performance appraisals, and make personnel-related decisions.
  • Track and control team productivity and operational expenses to ensure profitability.
  • Ensure that food and beverage products are of the highest quality and presented effectively.
  • Support the Director of Food and Beverage in various administrative tasks, including departmental reports and strategic planning.
  • Establish clear expectations and hold the food and beverage team accountable for exemplifying desired service standards.
  • Implement and enforce cash and payment control policies within food & beverage areas, ensuring compliance among staff.
  • Facilitate the integration of new hires into the department through orientation programs and tailored training initiatives to enable successful job performance.

Requirements:

  • Degree with emphasis in Hospitality/Restaurants management.
  • +4 years experience in hospitality within hotels/restaurants with high volume of food & beverage operations in a management role.
  • Knowledge of local market will be a plus.
  • Proven team leader with a high level of energy and motivation with a proven track record of living the company's values.
  • Proficient knowledge of computer systems such as: Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook is required.
  • Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment and have a high level attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Fluent in Spanish and English.
