Business Development Director for EMEA

Vml South Africa is seeking a seasoned Business Development Director to lead our Banking Unit and drive our Customer Experience and Innovation practice across EMEA. As a trusted business adviser, you will cultivate and expand existing business relationships, develop new client relationships, and manage a team of account managers to deliver company business and revenue goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop new client relationships and become the strategic and trusted business adviser to the client.
  • Cultivate and expand existing business relationships through frequent communication and regular client visits.
  • Understand clients' operating and financial business model to anticipate business needs in driving solutions, identifying opportunities to increase performance.
  • Manage relationships with clients as the senior point of contact, coordinating the resources needed to service projects and building strategic operational plans.
  • Develop effective, growth-centred mentor relationships with Account Managers and establish a good working relationship with the Client Services Director.
  • Manage a team of account managers and oversee their day-to-day management, creating an account strategy to drive sales across the business.
  • Proactively identify clients' needs and business opportunities, liaising with other members of the business on existing accounts and building relationships with key personnel within customer accounts.
  • Provide the team with all necessary tools and training to improve core expertise and continued career growth, building a team to deliver company business and revenue goals.
