Job Purpose

As a key member of the Ontex team, the Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for leading the regional field force of agents and account managers, focusing on revenue and strategic growth of the organization. This role requires ensuring the right resources are allocated to each customer group/channel in conjunction with the Sales Force Effectiveness (SFE) manager.

Main Responsibilities and Key Tasks
  1. Resource Allocation: Ensure the right resources are allocated per customer group at the regional level, driving business growth and revenue.
  2. Sales Excellence: Implement and maintain a sales excellence program, driving sales performance and customer satisfaction.
  3. Customer Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key regional customers, identifying new business opportunities and driving revenue growth.
  4. Expense Management: Correctly allocate regional sales expenses, ensuring optimal resource utilization and cost control.
  5. Performance Monitoring: Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as daily visits, visits per customer, prospect conversion rate, and other relevant metrics.
  6. Team Leadership: Create a positive and productive work environment, train and mentor staff, and motivate team members to achieve their best.
  7. Operational Efficiency: Incorporate company procedures and policies into the operation of the business unit, ensuring seamless execution and compliance.
  8. Project Management: Monitor and review project activities, ensuring timely completion within budget and scope.
  9. Relationship Building: Develop long-term relationships with key stakeholders in major regional customer organizations.
  10. Reporting and Communication: Report back to management on territory activity and market information, sharing insights with colleagues to support a unified approach to market.
  11. Onboarding: Support the induction of new employees to the business, ensuring a smooth transition and effective onboarding process.
  12. Team Collaboration: Act as a proactive member of the Ontex management team, fostering cross-functional and international collaboration, and sharing best practices.
Job Requirements

Educational Requirements

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field (Business, Economics, etc.) or equivalent experience.

Experience Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in a sales role, with a proven track record of success.
  • Direct and indirect people management experience, with a strong ability to motivate and lead teams.
  • Understanding of the commercial element of profit and loss (P&L) statements.
  • Experience working in the distributor and tender market in Spain.
  • Proficiency in English.
