Water Infrastructure Manager, EMEA Energy

We are seeking a highly skilled Water Infrastructure Manager to join our EMEA Energy team at Amazon Data Services Spain, S.L. - C94. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving the development, implementation, and construction of new water infrastructure projects that support our Data Centre network.
Key Responsibilities- Project Management: Manage design consultants, contractual drafting, develop and document requirements, budgets, and project schedules.
- Team Leadership: Manage remote 3rd project delivery teams from design through to construction, facilitating technical whiteboard sessions to troubleshoot project implementation issues and remove barriers to project success.
- Strategic Planning: Multitask and re-prioritize effectively to lead deliveries based on ever-changing business needs.
- Financial Management: Build and maintain overall delivery program and project budget, submitting Capital Allocation Requests to Senior leadership to secure finance for project delivery.
- Investment Planning: Prepare investment need/business case papers to secure internal funding for water reinforcement projects to secure water supply and discharges.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Liaison with a wide range of regulators and external stakeholders (Water utilities, environmental agencies, health department, construction contractors, etc).
- Project Coordination: Leverage project management tools and techniques for all phases of the project lifecycle.
- Reporting and Compliance: Regularly report to senior leadership on status of key project metrics vs. commitment of your projects.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure construction standards are followed and national construction regulations are complied with.
- Infrastructure Development: Create detailed planning packs to build scalable and future-proof water infrastructure.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Chemical/Civil Engineering/Economics/Business.
- Experience: 10+ years' combined work experience delivering water design infrastructure and engineering solutions for capital-intensive projects across diversified industries.
- Language Skills: Fluency in Spanish.
- Analytical Skills: 3+ years demonstrated experience with analytical and commercial skill set to review utility tariffs, water projects and contracts.
- Project Management Skills: 3+ years of experience managing project scope, business case and infrastructure requirements, develop contract and draft documentation, request for proposals, and capital requests.
- Infrastructure Experience: 7+ years of direct experience with the construction, operation, or maintenance of water infrastructure across different global regions.
- Advanced Degree: Advanced degree in Civil Engineering/Mechanical/Chemical/Environmental/Economics.
- Business Experience: Experience with fast track design/build projects and/or multiple significant upgrade projects and ability to work with multiple stakeholders with varied requirements.
- Analytical Mindset: Analytical mindset that can identify gaps in requirements during project development, predict performance, and provide recommendations on short notice and with limited information.
- Global Experience: Business experience in Europe, LATAM and/or Middle East.
- Program Management: 5+ demonstrated years of experience in program management, risk mitigation and reporting status reviews to management and internal customers.
