As a hands-on leader, you will oversee the entire development cycle from planning to execution and delivery, working closely with product, design, and operations teams to ensure our tech solutions meet the highest standards of security, performance, and customer satisfaction.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Technology Director to lead and grow our engineering team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment. You will be responsible for:

  • Engineering Leadership: Lead, mentor, and grow the engineering team.
  • System Architecture: Oversee the design and development of scalable and secure systems.
  • Product Development: Collaborate with product management and other departments to deliver cutting-edge solutions.
  • Technology Stack: Manage and evolve the technology stack to align with business goals.
  • Performance Monitoring: Implement monitoring tools and processes to ensure platform efficiency.
  • Security: Ensure all systems and technologies are secure and meet data protection standards.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously improve development processes and deployment pipelines.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure engineering supports the business effectively.
  • Budget & Resources: Manage the engineering budget and resources efficiently.

About You

We are looking for someone with a minimum of 7+ years of experience in software engineering and at least 3 years in a leadership role. You should have expertise in scalable cloud-based architectures, backend systems, real-time tracking technologies, and data security best practices. Excellent communication, negotiation, interpersonal, and presentation skills are essential, along with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly.

You will have proven experience managing engineering teams, mentoring technical staff, and commercially knowledge about the economics of food delivery. Experience working cross-functionally with product, design, and operations teams is also required. Strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills are necessary to develop and execute effective technical solutions and strategies.
