About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Lead to join our team at Wedge Global. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in driving the commercialization of our ocean energy technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead key areas of go-to-market planning, including service or project design and implementation.
  • Support the Chief Innovation Officer and work directly with the leadership team.
  • Develop and execute business development strategies to drive growth and revenue.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and industry experts.
Requirements
  • A master's degree in entrepreneurship, innovation, systems management, or an MBA specializing in strategic management, marketing, or entrepreneurship.
  • Excellent written and verbal competency in English and Spanish.
  • General experience with offshore wind procurement and/or tender bidding procedures.
  • Ability to effectively communicate our technology-led value proposition to a wide range of experts, stakeholders, and decision makers.
  • A 5-year minimum track record in business development work.
  • Ability to work in Spain and travel regionally.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Business development experience in the offshore wind sector.
  • Business development experience in the tech-based ocean observation space.
  • Advanced experience in sustainability and/or nature-related permitting requirements for offshore projects.
  • Advanced experience with Development Consent Orders and/or European licensing processes for offshore infrastructure projects.
  • Advanced experience in delivering remote sensing, monitoring, and/or ocean observation services, ideally related to nature monitoring projects.
