Customer Billing Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Customer Billing Assistant to join our team at IE University. As a key member of our Admin and Accounting department, you will be responsible for effectively managing student accounts and providing timely and accurate responses to client inquiries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with Admissions, Financial Aid, Registration Office, and Academic Program Directors to ensure seamless student enrollment and billing processes.
  • Process invoices and payments for services provided by other companies and departments within the IE group.
  • Perform accounting tasks related to bank accounts, including reconciliations and journal entries.
  • Manage late payments, N19, direct debits, refunds, and overpayments for clients.
  • Process donations and maintain accurate records.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients, responding to payment-related queries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Support audits and assist with monthly and annual closing processes.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in English and Spanish (written and spoken).
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and experience using ERPs and CRMs.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Strong teamwork skills, ability to multitask, excellent problem-solving and communication skills, customer-oriented approach.
  • International profile with work experience in multicultural companies.
