Key Responsibilities- Donor Engagement
- Develop and implement strategic plans to engage and steward donors, including the creation of personalized communication plans and the coordination of donor events.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with donors, including regular communication and updates on the impact of their gifts.
- Stewardship and Recognition
- Develop and implement stewardship plans to recognize and thank donors for their support, including the creation of personalized recognition materials and the coordination of donor recognition events.
- Collaborate with the development team to identify and pursue new stewardship opportunities and recognition strategies.
- Donor Research and Analysis
- Conduct research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities for donor engagement and stewardship.
- Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date donor records and databases.
- Collaboration and Communication
- Collaborate with the development team, including the Director of Development and the Senior Development Officer, to ensure a cohesive and effective donor engagement and stewardship strategy.
- Communicate regularly with donors, including regular updates and reports on the impact of their gifts.
- Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in donor relations and stewardship, preferably in a higher education or non-profit setting.
- Skills and Abilities
- Exceptional writing, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to develop and implement strategic plans and to analyze data and trends.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of discretion and confidentiality.
