Emergency Assistance Coordinator

As a key member of our global clinical team, the Emergency Assistance Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting 24/7/365 emergency assistance and evacuation requests. This role requires a sense of urgency, lateral thinking, and strong communication skills to ensure seamless coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating emergency assistance cases, including evacuations, repatriations, and time-sensitive access to care
  • Acting as the single point of contact (SPOC) for emergency assistance cases, ensuring ownership of outcomes and full support of the global clinical team
  • Monitoring workflow and managing workload independently, prioritizing tasks with a high level of urgency
  • Liaising directly with emergency vendors at critical touch points and escalating as required
  • Anticipating moves to ensure case managers and emergency vendors have the necessary documentation to complete vital tasks
  • Collating and compiling medical information from multiple systems, coordinating with other teams and departments to ensure documentation is promptly available and clear

In addition to their role as Emergency Assistance Coordinator, the successful candidate will also support clinical programs, partner with the global clinical team, and perform other duties as required in a dynamic environment.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience in customer service or care teams, with a minimum of 1 year prior experience in a healthcare insurance role
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a minimum of two languages preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a high-pressure environment and handle challenging situations in a professional and calm manner
  • Ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment and make decisions with minimal supervision
