Job Title: Emergency Response Coordinator

Contribute to the eradication of hunger worldwide by joining our team at Acción Contra el Hambre.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Emergency Response Coordinator to lead our emergency response efforts in the field. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing emergency response programmes, as well as providing technical guidance and support to our teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement emergency response plans, including needs assessments, rapid assessments, and emergency response design and planning.
  • Lead emergency response teams and provide technical guidance and support to ensure effective programme implementation.
  • Manage security, financial, and programme support services, including security management, financial management, and planning.
  • Fill-in for mid-level managerial positions and provide emergency advice support to our missions.
Requirements
  • University degree in a relevant field, such as humanitarian or management.
  • Valid HEAT training or similar.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in similar positions or at least mid-level operational management and coordination.
  • Experience in programme approach and design, proposal and consortium building, budgeting, and reports to donors and other stakeholders.
