Job Description

Job Summary

Vestas is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Global Service Account Director to join our team. As a key member of our global service organization, you will be responsible for maintaining and expanding relationships with strategically important large customers in the renewable energy sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and Maintain Customer Relationships

Develop and maintain productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned accounts, ensuring a deep understanding of their business needs and expectations.

Coordinate Service Sales and Delivery

Coordinate the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, to meet account performance expectations and customers' expectations.

Meet Sales Targets

Meet assigned targets for profitable onshore and offshore service sales volume and strategic targets in assigned accounts.

Strategic Account Planning

Guide the strategic account planning process, ensuring the development of shared performance goals, revenue targets, and significant deadlines.

Customer Needs Assessment

Proactively assess, clarify, and validate customer needs on an ongoing basis, identifying opportunities to create new specific service solutions that best address customer needs.

Solution Development

Manage solution development efforts to create new specific service solutions that best address customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel.

Offshore Service Sales Growth

Support the growth, profitability, and governance of offshore service sales in line with Vestas' expectations by providing customer knowledge and experience.

Pricing and Sales-Service Alignment

Work with the Pricing Department to introduce and set the Fair Value Capture concept into Offshore Service Sales, and facilitate coordination and strategy sales-service alignment for key WTG sales processes.

Requirements

  • Education

Master / bachelor's degree in engineering.

Commercial and Sales Management Skills

Demonstrated commercial / sales management skills and, ideally, a high level of Wind Energy market knowledge.

Offshore Knowledge

Knowledge and understanding of Offshore is advantageous.

Leadership and Team Collaboration

Should be a leader, highly motivated, proactive, and a team collaborator.

Negotiation Skills

Great negotiation skills are a must for the position.

Location

Based in Madrid, Hamburg, or Copenhagen are preferred locations.

Experience

At least 7 years of experience in technical sales in industrial environments, with experience in selling services and products.

Proven project management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple projects and stakeholders.

Language Skills

Fluent in English written and spoken.
