About the Role

Técnicas Reunidas, a leading Oil & Gas International Engineering and Construction Company, is seeking a skilled Value Improvement Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in driving sustainable growth, decarbonization, and energy transition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support to project leaders, engineering, and construction teams in identifying and implementing cost (or schedule) reduction alternatives.
  • Benchmark design against historical performance, industry norms, and client standards to provide alternative designs that meet customer requirements.
  • Facilitate value workshops and identify opportunities for process enhancement.
  • Manage communications or workshops with clients, as required.
  • Prepare multi-discipline conceptual and definitive cost reduction proposals for Capital Projects.
  • Break down silos, improving communications and enabling individuals to contribute to a team solution.
  • Provide recommendations that will be incorporated into corporate specifications and standards for future use.
  • Translate project scope and proposed alternatives into an estimate of capital expenditure costs.
  • Identify areas of uncertainty and apply appropriate allowances.
  • Collaborate with the Estimation support team to collect actual and alternative cost performance data.
  • Keep abreast of significant developments in new techniques and materials.
Requirements
  • Degree in an engineering discipline.
  • 10-15 years of experience, including at least 5 years in petrochemical, refinery, chemical, or power generation projects as a senior specialist or project engineer.
  • Advanced industry expertise and a proven ability to develop a deep understanding of industry trends and strategic opportunities.
