About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lighting Artist to join our team at 2K Games, Inc. as a Lead Lighting Artist.

As a Lead Lighting Artist, you will be responsible for leading the Lighting team, maintaining consistency across the department, and providing direction and feedback to team members.

You will also supervise the implementation of lighting across various projects, environments, levels, and scenes to enhance the visual appeal, atmosphere, mood, and gameplay.

Responsibilities
  1. Lead the Lighting team and maintain consistency across the department.
  2. Supervise the implementation of lighting across various projects, environments, levels, and scenes.
  3. Work with Level Designers, Environment Artists, Visual Effects Artists, and team leads to provide creative lighting solutions.
  4. Collaborate with Creative and Art Directors to establish visual standards and lighting style guides.
  5. Work with global Engineering, Tech Art, and development teams to debug issues and ensure lighting effects are visually appealing while maintaining acceptable frame rates and performance metrics.
  6. Provide mentorship and coaching for Lighting team members.
Requirements
  1. In-depth knowledge of real-time AAA lighting experience.
  2. A strong portfolio that demonstrates experience lighting environments and characters for AAA games.
