Job Title: Lead Lighting Artist

At 2K Games, we're seeking a highly skilled Lead Lighting Artist to join our team. As a key member of our Lighting team, you'll be responsible for maintaining consistency across the department, providing direction and feedback, and ensuring all team members understand their role in the department.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the implementation of lighting across various projects, environments, levels, and scenes to enhance the visual appeal, atmosphere, mood, and gameplay.
  • Work with Level Designers, Environment Artists, Visual Effects Artists, and team leads to provide creative lighting solutions across various games.
  • Collaborate with Creative and Art Directors to establish visual standards and lighting style guides.
  • Debug issues, solve, and guide future technology set standards to ensure lighting effects are visually appealing while maintaining acceptable frame rates and performance metrics.
  • Build asset viewer maps and establish standards for content creation that follow PBR standards.
Requirements:
  • In-depth knowledge of real-time "AAA" lighting experience.
  • A strong portfolio that demonstrates experience lighting environments and characters for AAA games.
