Job Title: Lead Lighting Artist

At 2K Games, we're seeking a highly skilled Lead Lighting Artist to join our team. As a key member of our lighting department, you'll be responsible for maintaining consistency across the team, providing direction and feedback, and ensuring all team members understand their role and expectations.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the implementation of lighting across various projects, environments, levels, and scenes to enhance visual appeal, atmosphere, mood, and gameplay.
  • Work with Level Designers, Environment Artists, Visual Effects Artists, and team leads to provide creative lighting solutions.
  • Collaborate with Creative and Art Directors to establish visual standards and lighting style guides.
  • Debug issues, solve problems, and guide future technology standards to ensure lighting effects are visually appealing and maintain acceptable frame rates and performance metrics.
  • Build asset viewer maps and establish standards for content creation following PBR standards.
  • Provide mentorship and coaching for Lighting team members, including 1:1s, career development, performance evaluations, and goal-setting.
Requirements:
  • In-depth knowledge of real-time AAA lighting experience.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating experience lighting environments and characters for AAA games.
