About the Job

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Scientific Project Manager to join our team at EURAXESS Czech Republic. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating EU-funded projects in the field of cancer genomics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate EU-funded projects, ensuring timely delivery and budget compliance.
  • Collaborate with a team of researchers to support project implementation and management.
  • Support the development and implementation of bioinformatics tools for precision cancer medicine.
  • Coordinate internal and external communication, including work package meetings and follow-up meetings.
  • Monitor the implementation of the CGI tool in clinical settings and expand its use in collaborations with national and international hospitals.
  • Collect and analyze feedback from users and collaborators to inform tool development.
  • Support the writing of funding opportunities to expand synergies and collaborations.
  • Prepare reports, monitor tasks and milestones, and contribute to related deliverables.
  • Ensure compliance with ethical procedures.
Requirements
  • PhD in a life sciences-related field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in cancer research, cancer bioinformatics, or precision oncology.
  • Exposure to clinical environments or related to healthcare.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
  • High initiative and capacity to work independently, with strong organizational, planning, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Knowledge of EU funding sources and experience in managing European collaborative projects.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Good command of Spanish and Catalan.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with bioinformatic tools.
