Job Summary:

Nordex Group is seeking a highly skilled Wind Turbine Control Software Developer to join our team in the Wind Turbine Control group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing software functions for the control and automation technology of wind turbines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement new and further development of control technology functions in the area of operational control of the wind turbine.
  • Conduct technical clarification and creation of software specifications.
  • Implement software functions according to requirements on a programmable logic controller (PLC).
  • Define test and acceptance criteria for the qualification of the wind turbine software.
  • Ensure quality assurance through software tests on the HiL setup in the software laboratory and on site at the wind turbine.
  • Create related software documentation.
  • Closely cooperate with various departments in an international environment.

Requirements:

  • Successfully completed technical degree in electrical engineering, automation technology or comparable qualification.
  • Professional experience in PLC software development according to IEC61131 is desirable.
  • Experiences in defining requirements for software functions are required.
  • Good knowledge of different communication protocols (e.g. Profinet, Modbus TCP) is required.
  • Good knowledge of MS-Office and especially MS-Access.
  • Knowledge in the use of Matlab/SIMULINK is preferable.
  • Experiences in agile software development according to SCRUM are preferable.
  • Fluent English.
  • High results orientation and quality awareness.
  • Initiative as well as responsible, structured and sustainable way of working.
  • Teamwork and communication skills.
