Job Summary:

Nordex Group is seeking a skilled Wind Turbine Control Software Developer to join our team. As a key member of our Wind Turbine Control group, you will be responsible for software development for the control and automation technology of the wind turbine.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop new and further control technology functions in the area of operational control of the wind turbine.
  • Clarify technical requirements and create software specifications.
  • Implement software functions according to requirements on a programmable logic controller (PLC).
  • Define test and acceptance criteria for the qualification of the wind turbine software.
  • Ensure quality assurance through software tests on the HiL setup in the software laboratory and on site at the wind turbine.
  • Create related software documentation.
  • Collaborate closely with various departments in an international environment.

Requirements:

  • Completed technical degree in electrical engineering, automation technology or comparable qualification.
  • Professional experience in PLC software development according to IEC61131 is desirable.
  • Experience in defining requirements for software functions is required.
  • Good knowledge of different communication protocols (e.g. Profinet, Modbus TCP) is required.
  • Good knowledge of MS-Office and especially MS-Access is required.
  • Knowledge in the use of Matlab/SIMULINK is preferable.
  • Experience in agile software development according to SCRUM is preferable.
  • Fluent English is required.
  • High results orientation and quality awareness are essential.
  • Initiative, responsibility, structured and sustainable way of working are required.
  • Teamwork and communication skills are necessary.
