Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Intelligence Consultant to join our Product Team Business Intelligence Finance & Procurement. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting complex software and application components in the Business Intelligence environment of BASF Group.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Consult on technical questions in the context of business applications for reporting, create specifications for projects, and collaborate with other consultants and business units.
  • Develop complex software solutions on your own or in collaboration with internal colleagues or external service providers.
  • Run maintenance tasks, quality assurance measures, and test activities, and develop support concepts to ensure smooth service operation of applications.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in business informatics, business administration with a focus on IT, or computer science with a focus on business administration.
  • At least 7 years of professional experience in IT-related topics, including experience in IT development and IT operations aspects of a big BI system, preferably in the SAP Business Warehouse area.
  • Strong programming skills in ABAP/ABAP OO, SQL, HANA native, or other 3 GL development languages.
  • Strong interest in understanding the business background and creating sustainable BI applications together with internal business partners.
  • Excellent analytical skills, service orientation, and ability to work in an international team.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in SAP Analytics Cloud (Reporting/Planning), SAP BW/4HANA, finance or procurement reporting application design, and/or finance or procurement processes.
  • Experience working agile with a DevOps mindset.
