Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Consultant to join our Product Team Business Intelligence Finance & Procurement. As a Business Intelligence Consultant, you will play a key role in the design, implementation, and support of complex software and application components in the Business Intelligence environment of BASF Group.
Key Responsibilities- Consult on technical questions in the context of business applications for reporting and create specifications based on technical requirements for projects and change requests in cooperation with other consultants and business units.
- Develop software on your own and manage developments in cooperation with internal colleagues or external service providers.
- Run maintenance tasks, quality assurance measures, and test activities, and support the development of support concepts to ensure smooth service operation of applications.
- A bachelor's or master's degree in business informatics, business administration with a focus on IT, or computer science with a focus on business administration, or a comparable completed vocational training with more than 3 years of IT experience in various functions.
- At least 3 years of professional experience in IT-related topics.
- Business intelligence basic skills by education or practical experience of at least 1 year.
- Excellent analytical skills and a certain level of service and customer orientation.
- A growth and diverse mindset with a curiosity to learn and improve.
- Ability to communicate clearly and authentically in English (spoken and written).
- Experience in SAP Business Warehouse (BW) and SAP Analytics Cloud.
- Programming skills in ABAP/ABAP OO, SQL, HANA native, or another 3 GL development language (e.g., C++, Java, etc.).
- Experience in finance or procurement reporting application design and/or finance or procurement processes.
- Experience working agile with a DevOps mindset.
