Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Commissioning Manager to join our team in Barcelona. As a key member of our commissioning team, you will be responsible for planning and managing all Test & Commissioning activities for our projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage all Test & Commissioning activities for the project, ensuring compliance with métier strategy, policies, standards, local regulations, and professional standards.
  • Work closely with teams across the business, including project management, engineering, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality projects.
  • Manage the T&C team, collaborating with the V&V manager to define the V&V strategy and deploy the T&C process on the field.
  • Ensure EHS compliance, report and anticipate issues, and manage internal and external interfaces with partners, third parties, and customers.
  • Deliver T&C plans, procedures, method statements, and coordinate staffing and training of the T&C team.
  • Prepare and manage Test & Commissioning works on field, ensuring the EHS compliance, and manage the tools and organize accurate calibration.
  • Anticipate issues and report/ alert on a regular basis to the RC TCM and to the PM on progress, issues, and risks on the project.
  • Ensure that all design-related issues are correctly reported in the adequate tools, including the defect description and associated test context.
  • Monitor/manages QCD performance delivery (including EHS and Railway safety) of the work package T&C as per customer and solution/system requirements.
  • Issue the REX on T&C activities, and propose update/improvement of the T&C way of working/process/tools and the T&C Reference Library to optimize T&C performance.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in engineering (preferably electronics or embedded systems) or equivalent experience.
  • Good knowledge of English language (read, written, spoken). Any other additional language is an asset.
  • More than 5 years of experience in T&C or V&V activities for signaling projects.
  • Experience of management by Quality, Cost, and Delivery objectives.
  • Deep knowledge of multiple subsystems + system global view.
  • Interface with customer or partners and internally V&V, Design, Installation stakeholders.
  • Experience managing projects from T&C point of view.
  • Experience managing resources in projects of T&C.
  • Desirable: Previous team management experiences, Knowledge of ALSTOM rules and processes; and Quality, EHS, and Railway safety knowledge.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills to fulfil the role of interface manager toward both customers and partners.
  • Able to manage multiple teams in parallel.
  • Quality-focused, rigorous, team-player.
  • Flexibility and mobility, available for short or long mission in different locations and countries.
  • Available to work on field also for night shifts.
  • Resilience, with an analytic way of thinking in order to solve complex system failures.
  • Customer satisfaction and results orientated.
  • Able to use new technologies and tools.
  • Driving license.
