Technical Application Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Application Scientist to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. As a key member of our Life Sciences Solutions Group, you will play a critical role in providing technical support and expertise to our customers and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Technical Support: Provide expert technical support to customers and field personnel on Thermo Fisher Scientific laboratory plastics products, including answering technical inquiries and resolving issues.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather and share knowledge, best practices, and technical information to drive business growth and customer satisfaction.
- Knowledge Management: Accurately record and maintain customer contact information in our Customer Relationship Management system, and contribute to the development of continuous improvement initiatives.
- Trend Analysis and Content Creation: Gather commercial and technological trends, and convert them into technical tips, FAQs, and troubleshooting guides to support customer success.
- Knowledge Base Development: Recommend changes to our knowledge databases, websites, and other company-managed resources of technical information to ensure accuracy and relevance.
- Training and Development: Participate in frequent training on products and continuing education on new applications and technologies to stay up-to-date with industry developments.
- Special Projects: Contribute to special team or individual projects as needed, and perform other related tasks as opportunities arise.
A minimum of travel may be required for the position.
Requirements- Education: B.S., B.A. or M.S. in life sciences or chemistry or a similar field.
- Experience: 2-10 years laboratory experience, with prior experience in customer service or a customer-facing role a strong plus.
