Job Summary
Grupo SmartRental is seeking an experienced International Operations Director to lead the planning, direction, and coordination of hotel operations in assigned geographical areas. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality management, with a proven track record of improving performance, productivity, efficiency, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Hotel Operations Management: Lead daily hotel operations, including budgeting, strategic planning, and compliance with company policies.
- Service Quality Management: Oversee service quality levels, operational efficiency, guest satisfaction, and service compliance.
- Operational Performance Improvement: Identify operational performance gaps and implement corrective measures.
- Collaboration and Communication: Partner closely with the Chief Operating Officer (COO) to align with departmental guidelines and priorities.
- Team Management: Monitor and develop team member performance, particularly hotel managers.
- Financial Management: Control operating expenses and propose corrective initiatives.
- Reporting and Analysis: Monitor P&L and STR reports.
- Policies and Procedures: Update policies and procedures for hotels in the assigned area in line with company strategy.
- Audit and Improvement: Conduct audits of hotels and set improvement plans as needed.
- Talent Development: Identify and develop talent in collaboration with the Human Resources department.
Requirements
- Hospitality Management Experience: 5 years' experience with international hotel chains.
- Multi-Property Management: 2 years of multi-property management experience.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of Property Management Systems (PMS) and Point of Sale (POS) systems.
- Language Skills: Fluent in Spanish and English; additional languages are a plus.
- Driving License: Driving license B.
- Travel Flexibility: Flexibility to travel.
