About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced sales professional to join our team as an Inside Sales Representative for Chromatography solutions in the Italian market.

As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and meeting sales objectives by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, developing and maintaining effective customer relationships, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet sales objectives by driving inside and online sales opportunities for specific products defined.
  • Provide quotas, interpret customer needs, and proactively act to meet those needs.
  • Develop and maintain effective customer relations with purchasing and end-user contacts within assigned territory and/or products.
  • Handle your own sales funnel using your own initiative to identify business opportunities by taking a creative approach.
  • Maintain a pipeline of opportunities to meet or exceed sales objectives.
  • Provide accurate forecast sales and maintain CRM up to date.
  • Actively generate business opportunities for growth and represent Agilent in all sales activities working with the field staff.
  • In addition, retain and grow the existing customers.
  • Work effectively with cross-functional team and internal resources.
  • Solve non-routine issues and problems within field of specialization and create and maintain effective customer relationships.

Requirements:

  • University degree in a Life Science field (Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology...)
  • First experience with analytical techniques like chromatography (GC, LC, GC/MS, LC/MS, HPLC) and/or spectroscopy (Atomic & Molecular), either in a similar sales position OR as an end-user.
  • Knowledge of/ experience with laboratory informatics systems such as CDS, Data Management Systems, ELN or LIMS is a plus.
  • Experience in sales would be a strong advantage.
  • Full proficiency in both Italian and English.
  • On a personal level, you are proactive, outgoing and customer focused.
  • You also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with many external and internal partners.
  • You show a real can-do attitude, resilience and you enjoy working both autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Whilst being flexible and adaptable, you have also strong planning, organizational and time management skills.
