Job Title: Production Area Manager

Are you a motivated and experienced professional looking to grow with a dynamic team? Huhtamaki is a leading global provider of sustainable packaging solutions, and we're seeking a Production Area Manager to join our team.

About the Role:

We're looking for a skilled and results-driven individual to lead our production team in achieving our ambitious 2030 Strategy. As a Production Area Manager, you'll be responsible for optimizing resources, prioritizing tasks, and ensuring the successful achievement of objectives in the assigned area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement safety policies, procedures, and work instructions, effectively communicating them to the team
  • Apply manufacturing and quality protocols, including World Class Manufacturing/TPM and quality standards
  • Ensure compliance with internal company standards and maintain necessary records
  • Lead a shift-based team, monitoring task distribution and production schedules
  • Guide and support coordinators, operators, and area leaders in task planning and technical advice
  • Conduct routine safety and protection audits, documenting findings and corrective actions
  • Manage necessary documentation and communication methods, attending meetings with other supervisors to coordinate departmental activities
  • Conduct periodic performance evaluations for team members and develop action plans to address negative deviations
Requirements:
  • University degree or equivalent in Industrial Organization, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a similar field
  • 3 years of relevant experience in operations roles managing teams in an international environment
  • Intermediate English proficiency (fluent conversation)
  • Basic training in Occupational Risk Prevention (PRL) and specific training in emergency response
  • Proficiency in advanced mechanical concepts and intermediate knowledge of Office 365 suite
