Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled International Operations Manager to join our team in Spain. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading the technical aspects of contract acquisition and execution, with a focus on Operations and Maintenance (OM) related to water treatment facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contract Acquisition and Execution
    • Handle the technical aspects during the bid phase for upcoming OM, Build-Operate-Own-Transfer (BOOT), and management contracts related to water treatment plants.
    • Develop cost estimations for OM services.
    • Establish organizational structures required for contract execution.
  • Technical Support and Expertise
    • Provide technical support and expertise to Saur Europe subsidiaries engaged in OM activities.
    • Offer specialized knowledge and expertise in water treatment topics such as wastewater treatment processes, potable water plants, and the operation of specific equipment.
  • Research and Development
    • Stay abreast of technological advancements and industry best practices in the field of water treatment.
    • Conduct research, attend conferences, and liaise with technical experts to maintain a comprehensive understanding of emerging trends and innovations.
  • Relationship Building
    • Establish crucial relationships with various departments and experts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a Master's degree (MSc2) in Environmental or Water Chemistry.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the water/wastewater sector.
  • Experience in consulting and tendering is valuable.
  • Fluent in English. French or Arabic is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and computer technology.
  • Familiarity with Activated Sludge Modeling (ASM) software like Biowin or equivalent is a plus.
  • Ability to travel.
