About the Role
- Lead a team of software engineers to develop scalable solutions that enhance our travel offerings.
- Hire, mentor, and coach direct reports to be the best they can be.
- Work cross-functionally with other teams to understand and prioritize user asks, features, and tooling.
- Collaborate with Commercial and Product stakeholders to ensure execution of the Travel roadmap to meet business objectives.
- Run ongoing delivery and daily operations of services.
- Continuously improve management and engineering processes for the team and services.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or higher with 8+ years of experience.
- 2+ years of experience in leading a team of engineers.
- Experience building and growing a team of engineers.
- Experience designing and implementing large, scalable, distributed systems.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with multiple languages (Java, JavaScript, Python, etc.).
- Backend experience with RESTful API and RDBMS (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.).
