About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced QA Lead to join our team at Exasol. As a QA Lead, you will be responsible for championing quality and leading our talented QA team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical guidance to QA engineers and promote a culture of growth and collaboration.
  • Partner with development teams to integrate quality assurance practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Design and implement effective test strategies, robust test infrastructure, and cutting-edge test automation frameworks.
  • Ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices in QA processes.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and prioritize testing efforts to maximize impact.
  • Provide clear and insightful reports on quality metrics and KPIs to stakeholders.
  • Leverage customer insights to enhance testing processes and elevate product quality.
  • Champion initiatives to streamline QA processes and contribute to product quality.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in QA and bring fresh perspectives to the team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in software QA, including at least 2 years demonstrating leadership capabilities.
  • Strong command of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Extensive experience with test automation frameworks and continuous integration/delivery pipelines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Solid grasp of the software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience with performance testing and security testing.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies and Linux.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to make sound decisions under pressure and manage competing priorities.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and delivering exceptional products.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency in SQL and at least one scripting language.
  • Fluency in English.
  • German language skills are a plus.
