**Job Summary**

As a Director of Business Development at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will play a critical role in securing and retaining business for our company through professional, consultative, and proactive sales activities. Your primary focus will be on decision-makers and influencers at existing and new clinical sponsors, positioning our company as a primary or preferred provider for all clinical development work to be outsourced.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Qualify deals and develop proposals, including defining solutions and recommending pricing structures to meet strategic company goals.
  • Position PPD as a primary or preferred provider for all clinical development work to be outsourced.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers at existing and new clinical sponsors.
  • Travel to key markets across Europe, including the UK, France, DACH, BeNeLux, and Nordics, to secure and retain business.

**Requirements**

  • Proven track record of success in business development and sales, with a strong understanding of the clinical trials industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on results and customer satisfaction.
  • Flexibility to travel regularly, including overnight stays, to key markets across Europe.
