Job OverviewWe are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Concierge Agent to join our team at Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona. As a Concierge Agent, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests, ensuring their stay is memorable and enjoyable.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide guests with personalized recommendations and insider knowledge of Barcelona's best attractions, restaurants, and experiences.
- Offer warm and sincere welcomes to all guests, creating a sense of arrival and making them feel valued.
- Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of local transportation options, including directions, travel times, and costs.
- Maintain a constantly updated database of city highlights, ensuring that all information is accurate and up-to-date.
- Demonstrate firsthand knowledge of recommendations through thorough research and planning.
- Be proactive and anticipate guests' needs, taking initiative to ensure their experience is successful.
- Enquire about the success or enjoyment of recommendations made, continually improving the service provided.
- Maintain a consistent and sufficient level of brochures, maps, and handouts to support guest queries.
- Be knowledgeable of all in-house and arriving guests, as well as daily events in the hotel.
- Arrange tickets for theatre, sporting events, and local attractions, as well as make and confirm dining reservations.
- Provide guests with confirmation cards for dining reservations, transportation, theatre tickets, etc.
- Communicate all important details to management and colleagues, maintaining open lines of communication.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and organized desk, adhering to high standards of presentation.
- Act as a guide when guests ask for direction, physically assisting them to their destination within the hotel.
- Provide clear directions for all guests traveling outside the hotel, ensuring they have a smooth and enjoyable journey.
- Respond to all guest needs and requests, providing prompt and courteous service.
To be successful as a Concierge Agent, you will need to possess excellent customer service skills, be able to work effectively in a team environment, and be committed to continuous learning and professional development.
