Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Head Baker to join our pre-opening team at SLS Barcelona. As a key member of our pastry team, you will be responsible for managing our overnight bakery operation and leading a team of pastry professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the production of high-quality bakery goods, including bread, pastries, and cakes, using traditional methods and techniques.
  • Lead a team of pastry professionals to ensure smooth operation and high standards of food hygiene.
  • Develop and innovate new product ranges, working closely with our Executive Pastry Chef to create unique and delicious offerings.
  • Proactively share knowledge and expertise with the team to ensure continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Ensure that our bakery operation runs efficiently and effectively, with a focus on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience working in a pastry kitchen, preferably in an upscale or lifestyle brand hotel/restaurant.
  • Outstanding track record in a high-end quality artisan bakery or luxury hotel environment.
  • Passion for pastry and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
  • Excellent organizational and attention to detail skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
