About the Role

Nippon Gases is seeking a seasoned professional to fill the position of Data Analytics Program Manager. As a pivotal member of our central Data Team, you will act as the primary interface between data and key business units.

This role will be vital to lead and coordinate strategic projects and will provide the candidate many opportunities to work with key stakeholders and shape the way we use data across the organization.

The new position will be located in Madrid, although his/her scope will be European. He/she will be part of the European Application team and directly reporting to the Head of Data Analytics & Integration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive and facilitate projects and communicate proactively with all stakeholders and teams to share insights, improve collaboration, ensure knowledge sharing, and manage change.
  • Gather requirements from business users, register properly and participate in the prioritization according critically, resources and strategy.
  • Interviews end-users to determine the need for data, reporting, analysis and data quality.
  • Work with Product Owner(s) to shape the end-to-end product strategy and determine business value.
  • Plans project scope and establishes measurable goals. Establishes project timelines and manages the project, including escalations, to complete the project on schedule and within budget.
  • Define, implement and track performance metrics once solution enters production.
  • Develop a deep understanding of technical solutions developed, synthesize complex analytics-derived insights into easy to understand, actionable recommendations that business users can easily extract and execute on.
  • Provide established guidelines, standards, methodologies, and conventions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Science, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Proven experience (> 8 years) in a similar role, working as a BI & Analytics project or program manager.
  • Fluent written and spoken in English and Spanish.
  • Experience in international environments is required.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into actionable insights.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Experience in Agile methodologies including Scrum and traditional waterfall approach. Official certifications will be desirable.
  • Data visualization background – ideally Tableau or PowerBI.
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Knowledge of data mesh, data governance and BI and Analytics management.
  • Knowledge of Azure Databricks for analytics workflows or similar platforms is a plus.
  • Experience in implementing advanced analytics and generative AI solutions (Is a plus)
