About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Directory Services Lead to join our Identity and Access Management team at the Healthcare Businesswomen'S Association. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, engineering, and implementing directory services that meet the needs of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement directory schema, OU structure, and directory group management
  • Ensure high availability and scalability of directory services
  • Migrate Active Directory to Azure Active Directory and synchronize identities
  • Configure security settings, Group Policy Objects, and maintain directory services
  • Design standard integration patterns and drive integration with various applications
  • Manage user attributes and ensure compliance with applicable regulations
  • Conduct regular health checks of the directory services environment
  • Participate in vendor selection and contract negotiation
  • Act as escalation point for major incidents and guide operations team in resolving active incidents
Requirements
  • At least 10 years of experience managing directory services in a highly regulated environment
  • Experience in systems hardening, networking, Disaster Recovery, Security Monitoring tool, etc.
  • Prior experience in implementing and operating large-scale enterprise-wide directory services
  • Hands-on experience installing, configuring, upgrading AD configuration changes, schema extensions/modifications, set up of GPOs, OUs, trusts, etc.
  • Strong understanding of identity and access management principles, including LDAP, Kerberos, SAML, and multi-factor authentication
  • Experience with directory services integration, including LDAP, Azure AD, and third-party identity providers
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Experienced people leader with the ability to lead and develop teams
  • An entrepreneurial mindset driven by curiosity, continuous improvement, and interest in technical advancements and IAM trends
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and properly delegate work
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
Desirable Requirements
  • University degree or equivalent experience in computer science, engineering, or information technology or another relevant field
  • Experience in the Life Sciences industry is considered a plus
  • Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate, or equivalent certifications are a plus
