About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Legal to join our G&A leadership team at Seqera. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading all company legal matters, from commercial to corporate legal aspects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contract management: Oversee customer contract negotiations and ensure compliance with local laws and regulations.
  • Corporate governance: Ensure compliance with laws and regulations in all our jurisdictions, including in Spain and the USA.
  • Legal policies and processes: Set up the legal function for success, implementing new policies and processes to ensure the company's risks are covered.
  • Employment law: Ensure compliance with local laws for all employment-related matters, including contracts, special clauses, terminations, and option plans.
  • Equity management: Be the gatekeeper for all our stock or share option plans, responsible for providing an updated capitalization table and monitoring the company pool.

What You'll Bring

  • Proven experience in leading legal teams and managing complex legal matters.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial and corporate law, including contract management and employment law.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to implement new policies and processes to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
