Ebury is a leading FinTech firm that offers a range of innovative products and services. We are seeking a highly skilled Engineering Manager to lead our Client Evolution development team.

This is a new role within our Technology Department, focusing on driving business growth through the effective use of AI solutions. As an Engineering Manager, you will work closely with our product and technology teams to identify and prioritize key areas of a partner's business where AI can drive significant benefit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement AI-driven solutions to address business challenges
  • Manage product priorities and ensure timely delivery of projects
  • Represent the team in various forums and collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Work closely with Product to develop clear implementation plans for product roadmaps
  • Foster technical decision-making on the team and make final decisions when necessary
  • Draft and review quarterly Engineering KPIs for your team
  • Define and implement best practices for monitoring, incident management, and troubleshooting of infrastructure and applications
  • Design and implement automation tools and processes to improve efficiency and reduce downtime
  • Participate in the design and implementation of new systems and services to ensure they meet our reliability and scalability requirements
  • Manage the team's performance, develop career paths, and provide coaching and mentoring to team members
  • Give regular and clear feedback around an individual's performance
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, tools, and practices
  • Set clear team goals and delegate tasks and deadlines

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of basic algorithms, object-oriented and functional design principles, and best-practice patterns
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2+ years of experience in managing teams
  • In-depth knowledge of performance metrics
  • Organizational and time-management skills
  • Decision-making skills
  • Strong knowledge of Linux systems, cloud infrastructure, networking, and databases
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing highly available and scalable applications
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g. Python, Bash, Ansible, Terraform)
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in English, both written and spoken
