About the Position

We are seeking a highly qualified Senior Researcher to join our team at the Institute for Multilingualism. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading research in Second Language Acquisition (SLA) and creating synergies with other members of the GRAM group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct and lead SLA research in various learning contexts
  • Apply for national and international research grants to self-fund research projects
  • Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Applied Linguistics and English for Specific Purposes
  • Supervise graduate and undergraduate students' dissertations
  • Collaborate with other teams and workgroups
Requirements
  • PhD in a relevant field (e.g. SLA, Applied Linguistics, Multilingualism, Education, Bilingualism, language teaching, etc.)
  • Senior profiles with a minimum of 2 years of postdoctoral experience are desirable
Assessment Criteria
  • Excellent track record in SLA research with solid skills and proven experience in quantitative and/or qualitative research
  • Proven record of effective teaching at the undergraduate and/or postgraduate level
  • Ability to lead a research group and secure external funding
  • Ability to work in groups and with other teams
