Six Senses Ibiza is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for driving the culinary vision of our resort, ensuring that every guest experience is exceptional and aligned with our brand values.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop and implement a culinary strategy that aligns with our brand values of local sensitivity, global sensibility, crafted experiences, emotional hospitality, responsible and caring, fun and quirky, and pioneering wellness.
- Lead the culinary team to provide exceptional food and beverage experiences that exceed guest expectations.
- Monitor and control food and material waste, and implement sustainable practices to reduce our environmental footprint.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local suppliers to source high-quality, sustainable ingredients.
- Collaborate with the gardeners to grow our own produce and feature it in our culinary offerings.
- Implement wellness and nutrition initiatives throughout the operation, with a focus on growing or making our own products.
- Establish and maintain purchasing practices that meet the requirements of our nutrition and sustainability platforms.
- Continuously assess and improve menus and wine lists to ensure they remain relevant and aligned with our Eat With Six Senses practices.
- Develop and deliver training programs to instill a cost-focused philosophy and quality control standards throughout the culinary team.
- Manage the culinary budget and ensure that all financial requirements are met, including forecasting and reporting.
- Develop and maintain standard recipes for all dishes, including food presentation photographs.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure that all food is prepared to the highest standards.
- Minimize payroll costs by maximizing productivity and efficient scheduling of hosts.
**Requirements**
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an Executive Chef in a luxury resort or hotel.
- Proven track record of driving culinary innovation and excellence.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Knowledge of sustainable and wellness-focused culinary practices.
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with local suppliers and stakeholders.
