About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to join Mygwork, a leading platform for the LGBTQ+ business community, as a Director of Healthcare Compliance. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our business practices and activities are in compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead the Healthcare Compliance Program: Develop and implement an effective compliance program to prevent and detect violations of law, regulations, and policies.
  2. Partner with Executive Leadership: Collaborate with senior leaders to ensure that the compliance program is aligned with business objectives and strategies.
  3. Establish Compliance Committees: Chair the Spain MedTech / Vision Compliance Committee to design and implement an effective compliance program.
  4. Develop Country Strategy: Translate global and regional strategies into local-level plans, considering relevant external regulatory trends and environments.
  5. Engage in Talent Management: Actively participate in the enterprise-wide Talent Management process for Healthcare Compliance.
  6. Lead Compliance Teams: Undertake leadership development and management of Compliance Managers/Specialists or other functions as relevant.
  7. Represent Business Governance: Ensure adequate representation in business governance structures and establish discussion platforms to gain business buy-in and impact analysis.
  8. Consult and Review: Act as a consultant and review and approve Health Care Professional (HCP)/Government Official (GO) oriented activities.
  9. Innovate Approaches: Stimulate and contribute to innovative approaches towards HCPs and GOs consistent with the HCC/HCBI guidelines and framework.
  10. Interface with Trade Associations: Actively involve with trade associations to shape and influence the environment and industry codes of conduct.
  11. Provide Guidance and Education: Provide and coordinate appropriate guidance, education, training, and regular communications on Healthcare Compliance to all covered employees.
  12. Conduct Self-Assessment and Risk Assessment: Conduct self-assessment and risk assessment processes to detect process gaps and inconsistencies.
  13. Develop Testing and Monitoring Plan: Develop a testing and monitoring plan to demonstrate that the Healthcare Compliance program is effective.
  14. Coordinate Corporate Internal Audits: Coordinate preparations for Corporate Internal Audits.
  15. Manage Allegations and Investigations: Manage day-to-day allegations and investigations where appropriate.
  16. Participate in Investigations: Participate in and lead investigations of non-compliance and implement the escalation process for serious allegations.
  17. Analyze and Provide Metrics: Analyze and provide metrics.
  18. Interface with Legal Counsel: Interface with legal counsel regarding Healthcare Compliance requirements and interpretation.
  19. Interface with Global/Regional HCC Community: Interface with the global/regional Healthcare Compliance community to share approaches to Healthcare Compliance.
Requirements

Education and Experience: A Bachelor's degree or equivalent, with a minimum of eight years of relevant business experience. Prior experience in Healthcare Compliance is necessary.

Skills and Abilities: Deals well with ambiguity, demonstrates strong organizational, process, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work well between functions and across all levels of the business, and effective negotiating skills are essential.

Language: English and Spanish language proficiency is mandatory.
