Johnson & Johnson is seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Healthcare Compliance program in Spain. As a key member of our MedTech team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our business practices and activities are in compliance with relevant internal guidelines, local laws, and regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive Healthcare Compliance program that aligns with global and regional strategies.
- Partner with executive leadership to prevent and detect violations of law, regulations, policies, or the Code of Conduct.
- Establish and chair the Spain MedTech Compliance Committee to design and implement an effective compliance program.
- Translate global strategies into local level, based on regional and local needs, goals, and objectives.
- Develop Country strategy & plan aligning with the businesses and J&J Office of Compliance; coordinate deployment.
- Actively engage in the enterprise-wide Talent Management process for HCC.
- Undertake HCC Leadership development and management and lead the covered team of Compliance Managers/Specialists.
- Assure adequate representation in business governance structures and establish discussion platforms for business buy-in.
- Act as a consultant and assure review and approval for Health Care Professional (HCP) / Government Official (GO) oriented activities.
- Stimulate and contribute to innovative approaches towards HCPs and GOs consistent with HCC/HCBI guidelines.
- Provide and coordinate appropriate guidance, education, training, and regular communications on HCC to all covered employees.
- Conduct self-assessment and risk assessment processes to detect process gaps & inconsistencies.
- Develop a testing & monitoring plan to demonstrate that the HCC program is effective.
- Coordinate preparations for Corporate Internal Audits.
- Coordinate the establishment of the Management Action Plan and guide business partners to close gaps.
- Manage day-to-day allegations and investigations.
- Participate in and lead investigations of non-compliance and implement the escalation process for serious allegations.
- Analyze and provide metrics.
- Interface with legal counsel regarding HCC requirements and interpretation.
- Interface with the global/regional HCC community to share approaches to HCC.
- BA/BS, advanced degree or equivalent preferred and a minimum of eight appropriate years of business experience.
- Prior experience in Health Care Compliance is necessary.
- Understands and masters the J&J Credo-based culture.
- Deals well with ambiguity and demonstrates strong organizational, process, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well between functions and across all levels of the business and effective negotiating skills are essential.
- Ability to comprehend and interpret legal documents would be an advantage.
- Ability to lead Regional/Global related projects.
English and Spanish language proficiency is mandatory.
