Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the payroll team, including hiring, training, and employee career development
- Establish priorities, ensure adherence to existing policies and procedures, and achieve or exceed annual performance targets
- Liaise with key business partners and senior management to align priorities and define best-in-class processes
- Manage a team of payroll team leaders, senior analysts, analysts, and payroll vendors
- Anticipate employee needs and implement necessary procedures to reduce Amazon's employees' effort to receive payroll services
Requirements:
- Experience managing a payroll team for Spain
- Ability to implement and execute the defined payroll strategy
- Spanish and English language on advanced level
- Strong communication skills
- Strong analytical and statistical skills
- Deep controllership/statutory compliance knowledge (tax, labour code, social security, garnishments, pension, benefits, terminations)
Preferred Qualifications:
- MS Office knowledge, especially advanced MS Access and MS Excel Office (VBA, macros)
- Familiar with SAP, Peoplesoft, Workday, ADP software
- Experience working with SOX compliance
