Senior Compliance Manager

About the Role
The Alibaba Group is seeking a highly skilled Senior Compliance Manager to join our Miravia Risk team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing seller onboarding to ensure compliance and mitigate risks associated with seller activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Seller Onboarding and Risk Management: Oversee and manage the seller onboarding process and operations team, ensuring all new sellers meet the established compliance criteria. Implement significant developments in the onboarding experience and act as a gatekeeper for maintaining quality and compliance.
- Regulatory Compliance and Risk Assessment: Track and stay updated with regulatory changes and ensure the implementation of new regulations within the company. Conduct risk assessments on new features to identify potential compliance issues and recommend mitigating actions.
- Internal Auditing and Compliance: Perform internal audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Document audit findings and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration and Training: Collaborate with various departments to integrate compliance requirements into their processes. Conduct training sessions for staff to raise awareness about regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
Requirements
We are looking for a candidate with a strong compliance background, particularly in the e-commerce sector. A legal background is highly preferable to navigate complex regulatory landscapes effectively. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail and organizational abilities, and effective communication and interpersonal skills.
