The Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Regulatory Compliance Manager to join our team in Spain. As a key member of our compliance function, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a robust compliance framework aligned with regulatory requirements and standards set by the Banco de España.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advice and guidance to 1st Line functions on regulatory obligations
- Support local Senior Management and Group Compliance functions in executing against regulatory requirements and internal policies
- Lead the delivery of the management of the firm's regulatory obligations in Spain, including influencing Senior Leaders and providing advice, review, and challenge
- Distribute periodic compliance guidance and updates to relevant employees
- Coordinate and oversee timely provision of regulatory reports to Spanish regulatory bodies
- Act as the conduit for external regulatory bodies
Requirements
- Proven experience in a senior Regulatory Compliance role with both regulatory knowledge and experience implementing compliance programs
- In-depth knowledge of the industry's standards, regulations, and payments/e-money regime in Spain, with knowledge of other EU/EEA jurisdictions an advantage
- Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate issues in discussions/presentations with senior stakeholders
- A bachelor's degree
- High sense of responsibility and autonomy
- Fluency in Spanish and English, with additional languages an advantage
