Job SummaryWe're seeking a Sales Business Development Specialist to join our team at The Hoxton, Poblenou in Barcelona. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about sales and hospitality to drive Corporate, Individuals, Group and M&E business into our hotel.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for achieving sales budget and increasing sales by driving more business to all segments of the hotel. They will work closely with our Director of Sales to prepare and execute creative sales strategies to maximise revenues.
- Achieve sales budget and increase sales by driving more business to all segments of the hotel (rooms, M&E, R&B...).
- Prepare and execute creative sales strategies to maximise our revenues.
- Work with our Director of Sales on sales activities.
- Manage and mentor more junior members of the team.
- Generate new business through market research.
- Represent The Hoxton at industry networking events and Sales Trips and organise on-site client entertainment, show rounds and familiarization visits.
- Work towards personal Corporate, Group and M&E revenue goals and KPOs.
We're looking for individuals who share our passion for hospitality and have a positive impact on the people they interact with. You should be able to grow and nurture long-lasting relationships and have experience working in sales, preferably in a hotel environment.
- Individuals who are passionate about hospitality and enjoy building strong relationships.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in hotel sales in Barcelona.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in Spanish and English, with additional languages being highly valued.
- Experience using a PMS (i.e. OPERA, DELPHI, etc.) would be an advantage.
