About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst - Structured Finance to join our team at DBRS. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining cash flow models in Intex Dealmaker, Excel, and Python.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain complex cash flow models to analyze and evaluate structured finance transactions;
- Enhance and improve analytical tools such as Intex Runner to support data-driven decision making;
- Communicate cash flow analysis to senior staff and colleagues through clear and concise reports and presentations;
- Review and analyze related legal documents to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Completed a bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline such as finance, financial engineering, or a related field;
- 1-2 years of experience in the financial services industry, preferably in structured finance;
- Strong knowledge of structured product bonds and derivatives, including RMBS, ABS, CLOs, and NPLs;
- Self-starter with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
- Proficiency in Python or other object-oriented languages, and experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau and Confluence.
Nice to Have
- A master's degree or CFA designation;
- Related experience in structured finance transactions, including deal execution and portfolio management;
- Advanced knowledge of Excel/VBA functionality and experience with fixed income analytical software such as Intex;
- Knowledge of R, Matlab, or C++/C# programming languages.
