Financial Analyst Job Description

Sulzer Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our global team. As a Financial Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the Controlling team by delivering comprehensive financial information for business management and decision-making purposes.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Support the Controlling team in delivering timely and accurate financial information for business management and decision-making purposes.
  • Perform month-end closing activities, including analysis of actuals vs. budget and prior month forecast.
  • Prepare and deliver training to legal entities worldwide on reporting and consolidation system matters.
  • Contribute to the monthly preparation of the Management Information System (MIS) presentation.
  • Perform various ad-hoc reporting requests to facilitate division financial understanding.
  • Actively support Budgeting and Forecasting processes.
  • Identify and coordinate continuous improvement initiatives for the controlling function, with a focus on Net Working Capital (NWC) and cash.
  • Drive automation of reports (QlikSense, Sharepoint) and process optimizations.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Accounting, Finance, or Controlling.
  • At least 3-4 years of experience in financial analysis or controlling, preferably in corporate finance.
  • Advanced financial modeling skills (Excel) and strong knowledge of PowerPoint.
  • Experienced user of management reporting consolidation system "CCH Tagetik" (preferred) or any other management reporting system.
  • Experience with SAP (FI/CO modules) and business application tools.
  • Analytically strong person with high energy to drive for results.
  • Strong problem-solving and ability to prioritize responsibilities, tasks, and processes.
  • A flexible and adaptive team player with a positive attitude.
  • Fluency in English.
