Finance Director for Mandarin Oriental Ritz Madrid

Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group Limited, a renowned owner and operator of luxurious hotels and resorts, seeks an experienced Finance Director to join its team at the prestigious Mandarin Oriental Ritz, Madrid. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the financial functions of the hotel, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, analytical reviews of Financial Statements, and coordination of month-end closing processes.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with experience in managing financial records, preparing financial statements, and analyzing data to inform business decisions. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate with various departments and teams within the hotel.
The estimated salary for this position is approximately €80,000 - €110,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, the company offers a range of benefits, including comprehensive health insurance, life insurance, and retirement plans.
About the Job
This is a full-time position, working closely with the Assistant Financial Controller and other members of the finance team. The Finance Director will be responsible for:
- Financial Reporting: Ensuring accurate and timely preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Financial Analysis: Analyzing financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost reduction.
- Month-End Closing: Coordinating and overseeing the month-end closing process, ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded and accounted for.
- Expense Management: Monitoring and controlling expenses across all departments, identifying areas for cost reduction and implementing process improvements.
- Credit Management: Reviewing and researching credit worthiness of applicants, presenting direct billing requests to the Assistant Financial Controller for approval or denial.
- Training and Development: Providing training, appraisals, and coaching to team members, ensuring they meet MOHG standards.
